Celebrating our School Community
On October 27, Kavod hosted an inaugural Fall Family Fun Festival that had it all: food trucks, games, activities, crafts, fun house, prizes and best of all tzedakah. The Kavod middle school explorers took the lead, hosting and organizing this community building event as part of their community service project, developing character, leadership and accountability. These service learning projects throughout the year are designed to strengthen their bond within our school and the greater San Diego community.
Through service learning opportunities, Kavod students are empowered by their teachers and reminded that their voice matters. As we come together as a community, we are reminded of the important work that Kavod Charter provides for San Diego families. Our TK-8 Charter School isn’t all fun and games, it’s a place where academic excellence meets emotional and social growth. Kavod provides a curriculum that balances academics and an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) that prepares explorers for high school with an advantage of earning high school credits in Hebrew, Spanish and Math during middle school.
