Preparation for High School
Middle school explorers can earn high school credit right here on Kavod’s campus. Spanish and Hebrew are built into our program, and can be counted as high school language course credits. Students who wish to earn high school math credits can take algebra, leaving room in their future high school schedule to add more advanced courses as they wish.
Bilingual Brain Benefits
The IB Middle Years Programme at Kavod challenges our explorers in nine subjects, including Modern Hebrew and Spanish. The earlier a person learns new languages, the better they are at adapting to and achieving in an ever-changing world.
Studies show that when young students learn subjects as bilinguals, it advances their cognitive skills for critical and creative thinking. Kavod alumni regularly report that the rigor of Kavod prepared them for the level of high school work they encountered.
Global Leaders
We empower explorers to study local, national, and global ideas in order to prepare them for the challenge of high school and life beyond school. Exposure to diverse communities and cultures builds inquisitive thought, cultural awareness, empathetic attitudes, and intellectual curiosity.
