Kavod Values

Value for the month:  Courtesy/Consideration

Toolbox Tool:  Please and Thank you Tool

The motto for the please and thank you tool is:  I treat others with kindness and appreciation.

Work with your child this month on expressing his/her desire for things and appreciation for things by using polite words.

Activities to promote courtesy/consideration:

– have students create a collage highlighting things that are courteous or show consideration

– write a thank you note for something send someone a get well soon card

– encourage your child to clean up his/her toys when they are done as a way to show courtesy

Class Happenings

2nd graders have been busy learning all about frogs and butterflies!  Did you know that there are some frogs that completely freeze in the winter and thaw out in the spring?  Amazing!  They have also finished their first writing unit and had a wonderful publishing party.  Congratulations 2nd graders on your beautiful small moment stories!!

First grade published their first books this month. Congratulations to the authors! They’ll be learning all about the Native Americans and the Pilgrims in November.  Their class is also requesting baby wipes! 1st grade goes through them very fast!
